shopme is a personal shopping app that finds clothing which actually fits a hard-to-fit body — and shows only items that are genuinely in stock, in the right size, right now.
The problem it solves
Standard sizing assumes a body shape that plenty of people simply do not have. If a garment fits your bust, it hangs like a tent everywhere else. Most “petite” lines are the same boxy cut, only shorter — not actually re-proportioned. The result is a shopping experience of constant ordering and returning, with no memory carried from one attempt to the next.
What it does
shopme keeps a record of your actual measurements — bust, underbust, waist, hip, torso length and inseam, each stored separately rather than collapsed into a single dress size. It matches those measurements against brands’ published size charts to work out what should fit, then shows a feed of specific garments with the reason each one was chosen.
Underneath, it is building a picture of which brands genuinely work for a given body: which ones cut generously through the bust, which petite lines are truly re-proportioned, which silhouettes survive that ratio. Every result you keep or return makes the next set of results better.
Real inventory only
Every item shown is a real product from a real retailer, checked as in stock in your size before it appears — and checked again at the moment you tap through to buy. Nothing is invented, and nothing is shown that you cannot actually purchase. Items link directly to the retailer’s own product page.
Inventory comes from affiliate network catalogs, restricted to a curated roster of quality brands, including:
- Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Madewell, J.Crew
- Ann Taylor, LOFT, Talbots, Theory
- Everlane, Reformation, Boden, Sezane, Quince
New items only — no secondhand or resale. Fast fashion is excluded on principle, regardless of how well it fits.
Status
In active development, built for one person first: a single user whose proportions defeat standard sizing. The architecture is deliberately built so that others who are hard to fit can follow.
A note on affiliate links: where shopme links to a retailer, that link may be an affiliate link, meaning a commission may be earned on a purchase. This never influences which items are shown. An item appears only because it fits and is in stock — commission rates play no part in the ranking.
